Happy International Lefthanders Day! It’s also Friday the 13th, plus Alfred Hitchcock’s birthday, and our community project for today centers on those two dates: wear whatever seems to fit the theme.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I’m in Eau de Guerlain: light enough for the heat wave here today and in Hitchcock’s Rear Window,* and with enough old-school elegance that you can imagine Grace Kelly and/or Jimmy Stewart wearing it (even though it didn’t launch until 1974, 20 years after the movie was made).
Reminder: on 8/20, wear the first scent that made you a fan of a particular note. Suggested by PriscillaE.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I’ll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
* It is 94°F in New York City as the movie begins. We are expecting a high of 95 today (and I don’t know when they started doing the heat index, to account for the humidity, but we’re expecting between 105 and 110 today).
